Moon Munson - Paper Hanji Art
Hanji paper comes from the inner bark of the Korean Mulberry tree. Due to its antibacterial and breathable properties and its incredible strength it has been used to cover floors, walls and windows. Moon's dicipline is Jido - the craft of pasting hanji layers onto a pre-made frame. This became popular throughout Asia to make and decorate furniture and was latter introduced to Europe. Moon makes jewellery, gifts and home accessories using this time-honoured method.
